The people pushing for ethanol are the American auto indstry, the fertilizer industry, big oil, ag and mining machine manufacturers, ag chemical producers, etc... Ask a shrimper in Louisiana how he feels about ethanol. Ethanol production will triple the size of the dead zone in the gulf of Mexico. Species in the gulf will go extinct thanks to the mive run off of fertilizer required to grow this much corn.
