What the hell is wrong with my motherboard?

My agp motherboard can't read any damn video card, regardless of anything I put in. I tried practically 7 different video cards all having various dates of manufacture (one dates back like 5 years ago and still doesn't work on this motherboard). The only video card that worked on this motherboard is a msi nx 6600 gt, and now that it's damaged, I have to resort to some crap *** onboard graphics on my motherboard. Seriously, I think the manufacturers were retarded or something, made the most shittiest motherboard in the world, and I ended up buying it because it was the only one in stock. Another thing I noticed though was that all the cards I used were all ATI, thought the one im using now is nvidia. What's wrong with my motherboard? Though most answers would pretty much be useless, I appreciate your time.
