I agree. I just asked a similar question, not having read yours first. I am really annoyed at the Red Sox ownership. Manny is right-when top players contracts are up for renewal, and the players are over a certain age, the ownership will try to make the player look bad so that the fans will dislike them, and the club can then get rid of them, purportedly for the good of the team. They did it to Nomar, Pedro, and Johnny Damon, and they were doing it to Manny, who saw it coming and acted in what I believe was an appropriate manner, all things considered. In closing, I, as a diehard Manny fan, hope he helps the Dodgers make it to the World Series, and on to victory!
