How can I teach my computer to remember sites when typing its first letters? I make mistakes and it remembers?

I'm not a good typist and sometimes I mess up information with my typos. For example: when I type "y" for "yahoo.com" and press "enter" to access the site I may accidently press "\" because of its proximity to "enter" and it results with my computer remembering "y\" causing me to waste time by typing the site and I want to correct my mistakes.
